About the Artist
Constandinos began working with clay at the age of 45 and completed a BA (Honours) in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Arts & Design London. He attended Master Classes with the celebrated ceramist Colin Pearson in London and went on to become an artist in residence in the studio of Pampos Mihlis in Cyprus until 2002, when he set up his own studio in Limassol.
His fabulous work is exhibited both in Cyprus and abroad, with 10 solo exhibitions to date and numerous group shows. It is part of the permanent collection at the National Gallery of Cyprus, at the Limassol Municipal Gallery, at the Anetopoulos Ceramics Museum at Pillion, Greece, at Hambis Printing Museum, at the International School of Fine Arts in Mexico, as well as in several private collections in Cyprus and abroad.
Through clay, Constantinos found his spiritual and inner self. “Nature creates, earth offers the clay. Body and soul create the work of art. Clay directs the movement of the hands. Creations are the continuation of our earthly existence.”
